FAQ's:

 

Which health care providers in my office need a digital certificate?

  • Anyone that will be listed as providing health care services on insurance claims will require a digital certificate.

 

Which computers in my office require a digital certificate?

  • For sending health claims

    • If your server sends the claims you only need to install the certificate on the server and in the user account that runs the practice management software.
    • If each computer sends the claims individually you need to install the certificate on each computer and in each user account that will be used to send claims.
    • If you are unsure as to what type of setup you have you can consult our ITRANS Practice Management Software Vendors Listing and contact your vendor.
  • For the ITRANS customer portal

    • You must install the certificate on every computer and in every user account that you would like to use to login to the ITRANS customer portal.

 

How do I install my digital certificate?

  • First you will need to open an ITRANS account, you can find all the forms to do so in our Activate ITRANS - Enrolment Forms page.
  • You will also need your ITRANS Digital Certificate instruction sheet that will look like the following:

  • Once you have your information ready, please visit the following site with the Microsoft Internet Explorer: www.continovation.com/certs.
  • Click on "Yes" if you see any of the following:


  • Select your appropriate language from the eQualifIDcc web page.

    Click on "Cancel" if you see the following after selecting your language:

  • Read and accept the agreement at the bottom.
  • Select the appropriate digital certificate type.
  • Enter the information in the fields as requested. You will find the information needed to fill in the fields in the aforementioned ITRANS Digital Certificate instruction sheet.
  • Click on the "Accept" button and confirm the e-mail address you entered by clicking on "OK" in the dialog box that appears.
  • Click on "Yes" when you see the following:


 

How do I know if my digital certificate is installed and still valid?

  • First confirm you are at the correct computer. If you are unsure you can consult the following; Which computers in my office require a digital certificate?.
  • Open the Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  • Click on "Tools".
  • Click on "Internet Options".
  • Click on the "Content" tab.
  • Click on the "Certificates" button
  • Make sure you are on the "Personal" tab
  • If it is issued by "CSI CA" and hasn't expired the certificate is valid.
  • If multiple copies of the same "CSI CA" certificate are listed remove the certificate with the earliest expiry date until there is only one certificate for each health care provider.

 

How do I install an ITRANS Digital Certificate in Windows Vista?

Open the "Microsoft Internet Explorer" Click on "Tools"

Click on "Internet Options"

Click on the "Security" tab

Click on "Trusted Sites"

Click on "Sites"



Type "continovation.com" and click on "add"
* "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" must be unchecked



Once added the the "Trusted sites" list should look like the following

Click on the following link to install the root cert:
- -http://www.continovation.com/crt/ROOTCSICA_ROOT%20CSI%20CA.CRT

Click on "open" in the dialog box that appears

Click on "Install Certificate"

Click on "Next"

Select the "Place all certifcates in the following store" radio button and then click on the - -"Browse" button

Select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" From the list and click on "OK"

Click on the "Next" button

Click on the "Finish" Button
